MIA?
No, I haven’t been missing in action, I’ve just been so busy at work that I don’t really want to look at the computer when I come home, so I don’t feel like posting. But here I am.
The blankie imperfecta (aka my log cabin blanket) proceeds nicely. I’m trying to do one log per day, but it’s a tad hard since each one takes me almost two hours now to do. But I’m plugging away, and am hoping to have it complete by the holidays.
I’m also continuing on my Xmasy dishcloths too, which I do during my lunchbreaks at work. It’s a nice change of motion for my hands (I type all day), which I know my doctor would appreciate (she tells me to stretch my wrists frequently and change my range of motion frequently too, to avoid repetitive strain on my tendons). Plus I end up with nice presents for everyone.
I’m currently Madonna obsessed right now, boring my friends & family with exhortations to watch or listen to her Confessions tour. Yes, I’m a big Madonna fan, and was a tad disappointed that she didn’t come to the T-dot on this tour (the closest was Montreal), but since I did see her Re-Invention tour a few years ago, I wasn’t completely disappointed…until I watched the show on NBC last week. Now I’m peeved! It was a tremendous show that’s got me dancing in my chair at work and dancing around the house while I vacuum. I was hoping she’d release it on DVD for Xmas, but it turns out it’s coming out in the new year, so I know where I’ll be Jan. 23, 2007! I’m quite excited about this, and am hoping there’s a CD of the entire concert too, because the mixes were particularly good. Although I wonder if she’ll do like Sarah McLachlan and her Afterglow DVD, in which there was a CD of selected songs, but you could download the whole concert audio from her website (for a fee of course)? Guess we’ll have to wait to find out!
