The Trek to Winning Nano - Part 1

Well, the first weekend in November has passed, and do you want to know how many words I’ve written in my Nano novel? None, zero, zip, zilch, nada, squadoosh. That’s right. I didn’t manage to write anything. I was all set yesterday, right before doing some Sunday night cooking, but right then Firefox started to act up and didn’t want to let me surf (yes, it was Firefox & not my Interweb connection), so I didn’t get down to it. Then I started cooking, and eating, and virus scanning my computer, so that by the time I had any free time again, it was 10pm and time for Dexter.

So I will attempt another go around at lunchtime today. At least 15 minutes or 500 words, whichever comes first. I’d like to break the 2000 word barrier, or possibly the 2500 barrier by tonight, as according to the schedule, I should already have  8000 words done, and I’m no where near that. *sigh* Dontcha love it when life gets in the way of hobbies n’ such?

(But at least this post counts towards my total in NaNoWriBloMo! Gotta find the silver lining somewhere, n’est-ce pas?)
