Yes, it’s true. I have finally moved in to the new apartment, and with the last load of crap that’s sitting in my truck right now, I am officially moved in. Phew. While it was quite cold and windy yesterday (-7 with a windchill of -holycrap), at least there was no snow…which we got today. So the universe was smiling on me yesterday. Even though I had hired movers for my stuff, I still ended up making 4 trips with my truck too. I’m just one of those crazy people that can’t give the movers everything.
Haha, the actual fact is that I needed to see what was left before I could pack up the rest of the odds n’ sods, however at that point I don’t want to delay the movers since they do work by the hour. But all of that is behind me, as I am now officially in the new crib, as my friend Chuck likes to say. I’m in dire need of a manicure, as I’ve chipped & broken all of my nails, I’ve got bandages on two fingers, of course one on each hand, plus my wrist hurts and so does my back, but I’m in baby! I figure I’ll go for a manicure this weekend, and the chiropractor too, might even splurge for a massage too.
So, in case you were wondering what the place looks like, I give you some before and after photos.
I haven’t shown you the kitchen, because it’s pretty boring. It’s a kitchen.
So there you have it!
Yes, that’s right, only 6 days left till I move to the new pad, and I’m excited! Of course that means I’ve gotta finish packing up here, and let me tell you, I sure am sick of packing. I’m down to the odds and ends, so it’s a little difficult to sort through. Tonight I’m going to pile up all the boxes in one area, and pile the stuff still to pack in another and see what’s left. But the end is in sight! Yippie.
Took some photos of the new place the other day, of course it’s still empty as I haven’t moved in, but I’m quite pleased and excited.
Here’s the view from the front of the building; that’s my balcony there on the right, first floor (or second floor, depending on where you’re coming from.
)

And the lobby of the building:

These are the new appliances in the galley kitchen (forgive the yellowness of the photo, that’s the overhead light):

The view from the balcony is nice too:

And finally, the view of my bedroom window:

Not bad, n’est-ce pas?
